Governance
IFAD is a specialized agency of the
United Nations and International Financial Institution.
Decision-making at IFAD is entrusted to its Governing Council, its Executive Board and the President of the Fund.
IFAD basic legal texts, which have been approved by its Governing Council and/or its
Executive Board, set forth the rules, regulations and procedures
which the Fund must abide by in its operations and activities.
Amendments to said texts may be proposed by the President of the Fund
for consideration by the relevant Governing Bodies.
Sections below on Former Subsidiary Bodies and Policies and Strategies are not yet available. These sections will be activated and this Governance page will be further developed to include additional sections in due course.
