The Multilateral Organisation Performance Assessment Network (MOPAN) is a network of 22 members that jointly assess the performance of multilateral organisations. Members of MOPAN use the outcomes of these assessments to inform strategic decision-making about their ways of engaging with Multilateral Organisations. The assessments also aim to provide useful and independent insights about performance, effectiveness and relevance for the organisations being assessed.
IFAD is among the multilateral organisations being assessed in 2023. Canada, Finland and France are acting as the Institutional Leads on MOPAN’s behalf for this assessment, and represent the membership of MOPAN throughout the assessment process. The final report will be published in late 2023.
The meeting will be chaired by Mathilde Limbergère, Deputy Head of the Multilateral Financing for Development and Climate Unit, Direction Générale du Trésor (the French Treasury).
The agenda will be structured as follows:
- An introduction to the assessment: Tanja Grén, Finland’s Permanent Representative to IFAD, 5 minutes
- A briefing on MOPAN: Hong-Won Yu, Director for Food Security, Global Affairs Canada, 5 minutes
- The relevance and use of the assessment: IFAD’s perspective: Donal Brown, Associate Vice-President of Programme Management Department, IFAD, 5 minutes
- The MOPAN approach and focus of the assessment: Suzanne Steensen, Head of the MOPAN Secretariat and Alison Pollard, Policy Adviser, MOPAN Secretariat, 15 minutes
- Questions and discussion: 25 minutes
- Conclusion and next steps by Mathilde Limbergère, Deputy Head of Multilateral Financing for Development and Climate Unit, Direction Générale du Trésor (the French Treasury), 5 minutes
We kindly ask you to save the date for this briefing and to complete online registration by 14 December 2022. This will automatically serve as confirmation of virtual attendance.
