Distinguished Evaluation Committee members,

At the request of the Independent Office of Evaluation a document on the “Procedures to select and appoint the next IOE Director following the recommendation by the External Peer Review (EPR) – note for consideration of the Evaluation Committee, prepared by IOE” has been posted on the Member States Interactive Platform for your consideration.

Under agenda item 2 on the “Appointment of the IOE Director (process, timeline, next steps)”, the Director, IOE, proposes that deliberations be held first on the draft revised Annex I of the IFAD Evaluation Policy "(in line with EPR Recommendation 6) and next steps, including presentation to the EC and EB in September" and subsequently on the "Main steps and timeline for the recruitment of the IOE Director, taking into account the EPR recommendation."

The Evaluation Committee, under the guidance of the Chair, shall decide on the agenda of the meeting and the means of consideration.
